Citizen Missing from Fishing in Lake Sevan Not Found After Underwater Search
On June 28, at 09:50, the special rescue team of the Gegharkunik regional rescue department resumed search efforts for the missing citizen at the "Arevik" recreation area. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The diver conducted underwater search operations, which were halted due to darkness, and the citizen has not been found.
Recall that on June 26, at 13:04, information was received at the National Crisis Management Center indicating that around 06:00, a citizen (Kolya P., born in 1971) had entered the lake for fishing near the "Arevik" recreation area in Sevan and did not return.
Two rescue teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Gegharkunik regional rescue department were dispatched to the scene. Search efforts, which continued until the evening, were temporarily halted due to darkness.
On June 27, at 09:26, to resume the search for the citizen, one rescue team from the Gegharkunik regional rescue department was sent back to the "Arevik" recreation area; however, the operations concluded without results.
