Fire in Hrazdan Gorge Extinguished: 4 Hectares of Vegetation Burned, Including 11 Trees
The fire that broke out near the "Florens" restaurant in the Hrazdan Gorge of Yerevan has been extinguished. This was reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The fire was contained at 19:08. By June 28 at 00:07, it was completely extinguished. About 4 hectares of vegetation were burned, including 11 trees and 14 stumps.
It was previously reported that on June 27 at 17:38, the National Crisis Management Center received a call about a fire in the grass-covered area near the "Florens" restaurant in the Hrazdan Gorge of Yerevan. A complexity alert of "1-BIS" was declared, and four firefighting teams from the firefighting department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Yerevan and the operational group from the Department of Firefighting and Rescue Operations were dispatched to the scene.
Subsequently, two more firefighting teams and five rescue teams from the Special Rescue Operations Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene. The firefighting efforts were supported by two water carriers from the municipality's "Greening and Environmental Protection" organization.
On-site were Deputy Director of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Colonel Armen Grigoryan, and the head of the Rescue Department in Yerevan, Colonel Arnold Harutyunyan. For safety reasons, two firefighting teams from the Rescue Department in Yerevan are on standby at the site.
