A Man Who Committed Suicide in Vardenis Was a Defense Minister Serviceman; He Left a Note
On June 27, a 41-year-old man committed suicide by hanging in the town of Vardenis, Gegharkunik Province. In a conversation with ArmDaily.am, a family relative, who wished to remain anonymous, recounted that days before the incident, he had a conflict with his wife, who left the house with their children. "He was a very emotional guy, easily affected by everything. The day before his suicide, he was with family until late at night and after they left, he opened a 25-year-old brandy he had at home and drank a liter before taking his own life," the relative said.
Regarding the content of the note he left, the relative mentioned, "In the note, he addressed his mother, sister, brother, and cousin, apologizing to them, and asking the last one to 'take good care of my mother.'" The source noted that he was a contract serviceman in the Ministry of Defense of Armenia and was supposed to go to work that morning. It is worth adding that his brother is currently in Germany and is unlikely to be able to come and attend his brother's funeral.
