New Details on Gagik Tsarukyan's Case: NSS is Questioning Various Citizens

New details have emerged regarding the case under investigation by the National Security Service (NSS) involving Gagik Tsarukyan, the president of the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK). According to information received by the newspaper, the NSS has been questioning various citizens to determine what information they have concerning the alleged distribution of bribes by the BHK during the 2017 parliamentary elections. Most of these individuals are residents of Gegharkunik Province.

It is noteworthy that the basis for the accusations against the BHK president stems from a report discovered during a search conducted at the home of former BHK parliamentary candidate Vazgen Poghosyan, which details expenditures.

Additionally, law enforcement agencies continue to conduct searches at the homes of BHK regional, particularly Gegharkunik, officials, seizing various documents from the residences of individuals.

Gagik Tsarukyan is accused of orchestrating the distribution of bribes during the 2017 parliamentary elections. He and his associates, as well as several other forces, allege that they are facing political persecution for criticizing the government. The authorities have categorically denied these allegations, insisting that the matter should be viewed strictly within the legal framework.
