Lilit Makunts: The Republican Party is Misleading the EPP

The Secretary of the 'My Step' faction in the National Assembly, Lilit Makunts, responded on her Twitter account to a statement released by the European People's Party (EPP) regarding constitutional changes in Armenia.

“With all due respect to the EPP, unfortunately, there is a feeling that the EPP is being misled by the Republican Party of Armenia. As the leader of the parliamentary majority, I am willing to provide comprehensive information to the EPP,” she wrote.

It is worth mentioning that in a letter sent by the President of the Venice Commission, he specifically noted in his correspondence with the President of the Constitutional Court, Hrayr Tovmasyan: “I have been closely following the developments regarding constitutional changes in Armenia. I regret that they do not correspond to the clear recommendations of the Venice Commission.” The EPP also expressed regret about the developments occurring in Armenia.
