I regret that the constitutional amendments in Armenia do not meet the clear recommendations of the Venice Commission: Gianni Buquicchio

Today, the President of the Venice Commission, Gianni Buquicchio, sent a response letter to the President of the Constitutional Court, Hrayr Tovmasyan. The Constitutional Court has issued a statement regarding this.
The following is the translation of the letter and its original in English:
“Dear President,
Thank you for your letter dated June 25, 2020.
I have been closely following the developments regarding constitutional amendments in Armenia. I regret that they do not comply with the clear recommendations of the Venice Commission.
I can only urge you to respect the Constitution. This is a fundamental requirement of the principle of the rule of law.
