Armenian National Assembly BHK MPs Naira Zohrabyan and Shake Isayan were at the Constitutional Court. In a conversation with reporters, Zohrabyan announced that they had sent an electronic version of the application to the Constitutional Court last night, signed by 26 MPs, to contest the constitutionality of a law adopted by the National Assembly. "Today we handed over the paper version to the head of the Court staff. Edgar Ghazaryan said that there are procedures, the issue will be examined, and a decision will be made on whether to accept it for consideration or not. For that, there is a 15-day deadline," she said.
Regarding the observation that at least 27 signatures are needed to submit an application, Zohrabyan noted that the legal community is divided on this issue: "Let me not evaluate whether it is legal or not, as some government ministers, who left their duties, turned into Einsteins yesterday and were doing mathematical calculations. The Constitutional Court will decide whether to accept it for consideration or not," Zohrabyan stated.
