Wide-scale Inspections at Norq Infectious Disease Hospital: What Happened
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports: According to information from the newspaper "Zhoghovurd", the Health and Labor Inspection Body of the Republic of Armenia is conducting wide-scale inspections at the Norq Infectious Clinical Hospital. The reason is related to the registration of citizens isolated in hotels as patients of the infectious disease hospital since March 1, when the first case of coronavirus was recorded in Armenia. This has led to inflation of documents and financial expenses. Now, there is a necessity to conduct inspections to determine the reasons for the discrepancies.
According to our information, there are also debts for certain services. Regarding this, the newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reached out to the spokesperson of the inspection body, Lianna Eghiaryan, for a comment. In our conversation, she found it difficult to say what the current situation is; however, she did not rule out that such inspections may be possible, and she noted that they are periodic in nature. "At this moment, I do not have such information, but I cannot exclude that such inspections occur, as they are mandatory in healthcare facilities involved in the fight against coronavirus," she stated.
