In Yerevan, the State Food Safety Inspection Body (SFSIB) has suspended the operations of another public catering facility for 72 hours due to repeated violations. The establishment failed to maintain the required 1.5-2 meters distance between tables and seated persons, the temperature measurement logs were inadequately filled out, closed bins for masks and gloves were not present in all necessary areas, and waterpipes were served, which is prohibited.
Additionally, due to repeated violations stemming from negligence, the activities of the 'Gntunik' LLC in the city of Aparan, Aragatsotn province, have also been suspended for 48 hours. Here, there were lapses in temperature measurements for customers entering the establishment, and crowding was allowed without adhering to the required distance.
Today, the operations of nearly three dozen food chain operators across the country have been suspended for 24 hours. SFSIB inspectors have continued ongoing monitoring across all provinces of the republic and in the capital city. In Yerevan, the target controls were focused on food chain organizations in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district. The recorded violations will serve as a basis for imposing sanctions by the commandant’s office.
In light of the emergency situation, SFSIB provides essential consultations and guidance to operators every day during inspections to effectively combat coronavirus (Covid-19).
