The Power That Deceives the People Will Not Operate in Armenia: Prime Minister

“You say today a political force boycotted the session of the National Assembly, while the authorities do not think about it. In my opinion, the political force has self-destructed because when something is denied from this podium that all citizens of Armenia know without exception, that is self-destruction,” stated Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during his speech in the National Assembly on June 25, addressing the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK).

“So is it a novelty that there are political forces in Armenia that distribute bribes and is it a novelty that BHK was elected by bribery? Is it a novelty for anyone?” he asked. “And when you say something from this podium that everyone knows is not true, that means self-destruction. They are not here not because they are being pursued, but because they no longer exist. A political force that looks the people in the eye and speaks lies will not operate in Armenia. You cannot deceive the people.”

“Those who speak outside of the truth will also not succeed. Yes, the biggest reform is taking place in Armenia today; reform of the political field is underway. Those who have been governed as puppets from behind the scenes will no longer have a place in Armenia's political landscape. Those who have governed as puppets from behind the scenes will not have a place in this political field,” Pashinyan declared.
