Shushan Nazarian Takes Initiative to Populate Customs Sector with Own Personnel: 'Hraparak'
The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports: 'After the departure of David Ananyan, Deputy Head of the State Revenue Committee Shushan Nazarian has been granted freedom and has committed herself to filling the customs sector with her own personnel and eliminating the undesirables. If until now Ananyan had somewhat restrained her, Ms. Nazarian is now freer to make personnel changes.
We were told that recently she instructed the heads of departments in the Passenger Control Division at Zvartnots Airport or the Western Customs Directorate, who were previously called shift heads, to write applications and resign from their positions. We were informed that she intends to appoint her close associates to these positions, including one of her friends, whose qualifications for this challenging role traditionally suited for men remain unclear. However, if she managed to lead the entire customs sector after coming from the bank to the State Revenue Committee, her friends might as well effectively organize passenger flow.
Yesterday, we attempted to obtain a comment from Shushan Nazarian herself regarding this matter, but she did not respond to our calls. Meanwhile, the State Revenue Committee's press office stated that they currently have no applications.'
