It Surprised Me That Mikael Minasyan Viewed BHK as the Opposition: Alen Simonyan
It should be Mr. Marukyan who responds to Mikael Minasyan's statements, not me. I do not intend to interfere in the closed or open correspondence between those two individuals. This was stated today, June 25, during a conversation with reporters at the National Assembly by Deputy Speaker Alen Simonyan, responding to the former Armenian ambassador to the Vatican Mikael Minasyan's public remark to Edmon Marukyan, leader of the Bright Armenia party, that unlike him, Hrayr Tovmasyan and other members of the Constitutional Court did not succumb to blackmail and were not scared of a madman.
“Let them sort out between themselves who was whose project, whether it was or was not. I read that he expressed his willingness to be Edmon Marukyan's project. I was also surprised that Mikael Minasyan viewed BHK as the opposition. I find that absurd,” he said.
In response to the observation that Mikael Minasyan stated that the only opposition in the National Assembly was BHK, Alen Simonyan advised Mikael Minasyan to participate in the next elections on the BHK list.
