Gabriel Balayan in Quarantine, but Test Result Negative
Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia Gabriel Balayan has gone into quarantine after coming into contact with an infected individual, yet the test he took days ago has returned negative results. In response to a question from Armenpress, Defense Ministry spokesperson Shushan Stepanyan stated,
“Gabriel Balayan had contact with an infected person and has consequently isolated himself. He shows no symptoms, feels well, and continues to perform a significant portion of his duties through remote communication,” Stepanyan reported.
The spokesperson also mentioned that given the constant direct communication of the Ministry of Defense leadership with personnel across all branches of the Armed Forces, and to maintain the health safety of the Armed Forces' staff, the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces leadership undergoes testing periodically as stipulated by medical protocols. Balayan was tested days ago, and the result was negative.
