Dozens of Investigative Committee Employees to Lose One Month's Bonus for Not Wearing Masks

On June 25, a meeting took place at the Investigative Committee of Armenia regarding the enforcement of the rules and regulations established due to the declared state of emergency related to the coronavirus pandemic, particularly focusing on the requirement of wearing protective masks. The meeting was chaired by the President of the Investigative Committee, Hayk Grigoryan.

It was reported to the President of the Investigative Committee that from June 1-4, during the state of emergency, there were employees in the central administrative building of the Investigative Committee who violated the rules set by the commandant, a violation which was recorded by surveillance cameras.

Hayk Grigoryan instructed the relevant departments, namely the Internal Security Division and the Passport Office, to continue monitoring, review the violations recorded by the cameras, and report the results directly to him.

“I demand that all deputy presidents of the Investigative Committee, heads of divisions, and departments comply with the requirement to wear protective masks,” said Hayk Grigoryan, emphasizing once again that the supervisors of employees who do not follow the established rules will also be held accountable for their subordinates' misconduct.

As a consequence of the violations, it was decided that 32 employees of the Investigative Committee would be deprived of one month's bonus for their infractions, while a service investigation was ordered on 25 civil servants by the instruction of the Secretary General of the Investigative Committee, resulting in disciplinary action of a strict reprimand.
