We Have Acted Correctly, Our Steps Are Not Beneficial Either to the Present or the Former Ones: Gevorg Gorgisyan

The Bright Armenia party has always talked about leading the political field with values and principles since its inception, pushing personalities into the background. We have always been and will continue to be the front-runners of democracy, the rule of law, and legal superiority in the Republic of Armenia.

In recent days, yes, the ruling majority has grossly violated the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, and it is not excluded that after a change of power, legal assessments will be made regarding these processes. Bright Armenia, noting this fact, will take all measures to contest unconstitutional processes in the Constitutional Court, keeping legal processes free from political influences.

Unfortunately, there are many political forces that attempt to undermine the foundations of a legal state in favor of their political, clannish, or personal interests. Bright Armenia has once again become the target of such attacks.

I am confident that we will overcome this as well because the ideas we advocate are long-term and aimed at the sustainability of Armenia, while the values they preach are temporary and fleeting.

Frankly, I am glad that we have once again found ourselves at the center of such an assault; it proves that we have acted correctly and that our steps are not beneficial to either the present or the former authorities, but are aimed at achieving our goal of establishing a legal state.

Since the establishment of the party, we have had our path based on our defined values. Some may like it, some may not, but as long as there are citizens of the Republic of Armenia who support our approaches to building a democratic state and a strong nation, we will be in the political arena and will disregard all kinds of organized assaults and defamations.

We have never separated Armenia into old and new, nor have we divided people into opposing groups, because it has never been in the interests of Armenia. We have always respected our political opponents, not crossing the unspoken laws of human relations, trying to bring a new quality to the political landscape. We have always acted transparently, with reasoned justifications.

I reaffirm that at the right time, Bright Armenia will be the force that will unite the giants of Armenian thought, generating that illuminating energy with which Armenia will begin its soaring ascent. Perhaps this is what many fear, but that is their problem.

In the construction of a brighter Armenia tomorrow, we have no room for retreat. God bless the Republic of Armenia, our citizens, and the entire Armenian nation.
