Video: Arrested Police Capture Thieves Attempting to Steal from Concert Hall

On June 22, there was an attempted theft at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex. Unknown individuals dismantled the metal roof of the complex using technical tools during the time frame between 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM on the same day. Criminal investigators from Malatia and security staff at the complex learned that the individuals who had removed the metal sheets were planning to return to steal them.

As a result, a sting operation was organized at the complex. In the early hours of June 24, the suspects returned for the metal sheets. The undercover police and security personnel apprehended them right on the roof of the complex. The young individuals, residing in Yerevan, were taken to the Malatia Police Department.

Large complexes are equipped with modern security alarm systems and cameras; moreover, any such criminal violation against cultural complexes will draw the consistent response of the police. We urge everyone to refrain from committing such acts.
