Parliament Approves Project for Additional Loan from IMF

The National Assembly has unanimously adopted the loan agreement with the International Monetary Fund. The vote garnered 88 votes in favor.

According to the agreement, part of the loan, approximately $280 million, will be immediately available and can be used to fulfill the budget. Another approximately $35 million will be received in the autumn for the same purpose.

It should be noted that the Prosperous Armenia faction did not participate in the voting.

During the session, Deputy Finance Minister Armen Hayrapetyan stated that the government has approved an anti-crisis package worth 150 billion drams, for which funding is necessary, as a gap of 260 billion drams has emerged.
