MP Kristine Poghosyan Tests Positive for Coronavirus, Many in Faction Self-Isolate

According to ArmLur.am, about a dozen MPs from the National Assembly’s ‘My Step’ faction have tested positive for coronavirus and did not attend today’s National Assembly session. It is also worth noting that the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Vahé Enfiajyan from the Prosperous Armenia Party, has been confirmed as infected, leading members of his party to self-isolate. However, the coronavirus has also reached the ruling faction.

For comments, ArmLur.am contacted Tigran Galstyan, the head of the National Assembly staff, but he stated that he has no information on coronavirus infections among 'My Step' MPs. MP Tsovinar Vardanian, who was absent from today’s session, told ArmLur.am that she decided to take a coronavirus test, which is why she did not attend the session as she is experiencing a fever.

MP Kristine Poghosyan told ArmLur.am that she tested positive for coronavirus two days ago. She stated that she feels well at the moment and has no complaints. The MP added that she did not attend the National Assembly after taking the test and that her contact circle is narrow, as she only went from home to work and back.

It should be added that a large number of MPs are absent from today’s session, and the reason is indeed their self-isolation.
