Khajakyan's Imaginary 'Persecutions', According to Him, Occur at the Direction of the Prime Minister: Karapetyan
Yerevan Mayor's spokesperson Hakob Karapetyan writes on his Facebook page: 'I have information about the criminal case involving Davit Khajakyan only to the extent that Mr. Khajakyan spoke about it during the Council meeting and then in a press briefing with journalists. I hope the police will provide more detailed information on the circumstances of the case in an official statement.'
'Meanwhile, judging by Mr. Khajakyan's agitated response, one can assume that yet again an attempt is being made to smear even the simplest inquiries from law enforcement under the noble and 'all-saving' phrase of 'political persecution against the opposition.' Notably, it is also significant that Khajakyan's imaginary 'persecutions' (which are in fact a simple legal process) he believes occur solely at the instruction of the Prime Minister of Armenia. We must hope that Mr. Khajakyan will not announce tomorrow that the technical glitch during the live broadcast of today's Council meeting also occurred at the direction of the Prime Minister.'
