Edmon, Do You Know What the Difference Is Between You and Hrayr? - Mikael Minasyan

Edmon, do you know what the difference is between you and Hrayr? A lot. A lot that condenses into the reality that Hrayr Tovmasyan's students endure sacrifices for the sake of the state and their godfather, get imprisoned on the orders of a madman, and bravely face all attacks. In contrast, your student betrays you at the first opportunity and then sits in the National Assembly watching how first he is humiliated and then beaten. These are objective consequences.

This was stated in a Facebook post by Mikael Minasyan, the former Armenian ambassador to the Vatican. He wrote: “You have been accused for two years of being my project and, thus, being able to manipulate as you please at the expense of your dignity. You live in Nikol Pashinyan’s sick reality and have become a slave of that pseudo-reality. Out of fear of being associated with me, you have become a puppet, a pathetic appendage of the enemy's government, dragging down the futures and political careers of numerous brilliant young people.”

“Today you had a choice. And the choice was between the state and the enemy of the state. You chose the latter, striking the last nail in the coffin of Armenian democracy with your own hands. By swallowing your dignity, and enduring three years of being blackmailed by 'foot-wipers,' you broke the backbone of our state, committing political and moral suicide.”

“Unlike you, Edmon, Hrayr and the other judges of the Constitutional Court did not succumb to blackmail, were not frightened by the madman's threats and hysterical fits, and did not give in to cheap manipulations. Do you know why? Because they have dignity.”

“From now on, there are no sides in the Republic of Armenia. You are either with the madman or with the people. I was ready to be your 'project' today if you stood with the people, but you chose the prospect of colluding with the political vile. You will be cast aside, forever bearing the stigma of 'the former' and 'the Nikolites.' Don’t doubt it! We will leave the institute of political parasites in the past.”

“Honored members of 'Bright Armenia,' if there are still people among you who recognize not Facebook's reality, but the real reality, then become the opposition. Real opposition. Step out from the destructive regime, stand with the people. The people will be grateful, and we will serve you humbly. You still have a chance to avoid a head-down future.”

“There is already one opposition in the National Assembly of Armenia, represented by the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK). Despite all political persecutions, each of them walks with an open face and raised head because they did everything without hesitation to prevent the annihilation of the rule of law. Long live the strong in spirit!”
