My Signature Doesn't Complete the Required Number. The Ball is in the Court of 'Bright Armenia'. Tigran Urikhanyan
Respected journalists are very interested these days in whether I will sign the petition to appeal to the Constitutional Court. This was stated by Tigran Urikhanyan, a former member of the National Assembly who left the GGPC faction, on his Facebook page.
“I am pleased to inform you that all my actions in recent days are being discussed in detail with my colleagues from the ‘Alliance’ party, including this issue. My signature doesn’t complete the required number, and in that sense, the ball is in the court of 'Bright Armenia'. When they 'transfer the ball', the public will definitely know what I plan to do. In any case, I am confident that my actions are predictable,” he wrote.
Earlier, we reported that the GGPC announced the day before that it is initiating an appeal to the Constitutional Court regarding constitutional amendments, but it does not have sufficient numbers of deputies, requiring the support of 'Bright Armenia'.
'Bright Armenia' leader Edmon Marukyan, for his part, stated that the deputies do not have the authority to appeal to the Constitutional Court on this issue. Throughout the day, GGPC and 'Bright Armenia' have been holding discussions behind closed doors to find a solution to the problem.
