Im Kayl Members Express Discontent with Badasyan: His Issue was on the Agenda

The newspaper 'Irates' reports that during a meeting of the 'Im Kayl' faction that took place at the end of last week, which was attended by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the issue of Minister of Justice Rustam Badasyan was also on the agenda.

According to 'Irates', the members of 'Im Kayl' are extremely concerned about the series of failures the government is experiencing one after another in the justice sector. 'Failures, of course, from the government's perspective are failures. Representatives of 'Im Kayl' are unable to 'digest' the change in the detention conditions of the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, the fact that Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, has not been detained, and the mixed, sometimes even critical conclusions of the Venice Commission regarding the Constitutional Court. The Europeans are also unsettled by the fact that the Armenian authorities, not waiting for the commission's conclusions, have put a draft on the Constitutional Court into circulation,' said our source.

The tensions are also palpable for the representatives of the National Assembly's legal department. The power elite is directing accusatory inquiries at the deputies, questioning how it is possible that almost no legislative initiative passes smoothly without criticism.
