Georgia's Border Closed to Foreign Citizens, Lars Open Only for Freight Transport

The Ministry of Emergency Situations announces that as of June 22 at 08:00, the roadways in the Republic of Armenia are passable.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia's Emergency Situations Department and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, due to the state of emergency, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is only open for freight transport.

According to information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the decision to prohibit foreign citizens from entering Georgia remains in effect. The ban does not apply to freight transport.
