Court Hearing in the Case of Davit Sanasaryan and Others Postponed
In the Shengavit residence of the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction, presided over by Judge Davit Balayan, today's court hearing on the case of Davit Sanasaryan, the head of the State Oversight Service (whose powers are temporarily suspended), and former employees of the Service has been postponed.
The hearing was delayed due to the absence of one of the defense lawyers. The next court session has been scheduled for August 10 at 10:30 AM.
It should be noted that today’s hearing was supposed to determine the preferred order for questioning the witnesses in the case.
Recall that Davit Sanasaryan has been charged under Part 1 of Article 308 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia for abuse of official authority. A signature not to leave the country has been chosen as a measure of restraint for him.
It is important to mention that there are four defendants in the criminal case: two other employees of the State Oversight Service, Gevorg Khachatryan, Samvel Adyan, and Adyan's associate, Taron Avetisyan, the actual head of the 'Zorashen' LLC.
