Vladimir Putin Does Not Rule Out Running for Reelection
Russian President Vladimir Putin has not ruled out the possibility of running for reelection if constitutional amendments are made. According to the TASS news agency, the country’s leader made this statement during an interview as part of the program "Russia. Kremlin. Putin."
"I haven’t decided anything for myself yet. I do not rule out the possibility of running if it is confirmed by the constitution. Let's see, it will become clear later," he said.
At the same time, the Russian leader urged all officials not to start looking for his potential successors right now, but rather to focus on their immediate duties. "We need to work, not look for the next ones," Putin stated.
"Honestly, I will say: if there is no corresponding change in the Constitution, in two years, I know from my own experience, searches for possible successors will begin at many levels of power instead of normal work," the president commented.
