Second Group of Doctors from France Arrives in Armenia

In the coming days, a second group of doctors from France will arrive in Armenia, led by the renowned French-Armenian doctor Loran Papazian. Another French-Armenian doctor will also be involved in the group. This information was provided to Armenpress by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs.

The first group of French doctors arrived in Armenia on June 14 via a special Marseille-Yerevan flight. “This was the first similar initiative to involve foreign specialists in the fight against the pandemic. Responding to a request from the Ministry of Health, the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs launched this initiative in close collaboration with USAID,” the statement noted.

The 10 French doctors who arrived in Armenia are carrying out their mission at the “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” Medical Center, the Scientific Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics, and the Infectious Disease Department of the “Saint Astvatsamayr” Medical Center. The doctors specialize as anesthesiologists and intensivists, primarily working in intensive care units.
