Police Denies Something I Did Not Say: Mikayel Minasyan

The police denies something I did not say. This was stated today by Mikayel Minasyan, the former Armenian ambassador to the Holy See, on his Facebook page, in response to a video from the police denying the claims he made about illegal diamond trade.

“You remember that Nikol Pashinyan went to open that factory without any hesitation. Then we all understood together that 20 billion drams worth of diamonds were exported from Armenia. Just days ago, the police released an unclear video denying my story. I don’t understand what you are denying. You are denying something I did not say. You claim that, thus, Mikayel Minasyan stated that this, this, and in the end, no legal diamonds were exported from Armenia. My dears, I did not say that this was illegal export; I said that this was illegal diamonds,” said the ambassador.

Minasyan emphasized that there are not 1,400 diamond processors in Armenia who could process 20 billion drams worth of diamonds during the first three months of 2020: “There are not, and you do not deny that. The numbers you mention that were approved by Nikol Pashinyan do not mean we believe it. We are not fools and crazy; you have made us feel like fools, and we know that you are the crazy ones,” he noted.
