Gagik Tsarukyan Will Not Be Arrested

WRed

The Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan has published its decision regarding the National Security Service's request to arrest Gagik Tsarukyan, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party. Accordingly, the NSS's request to detain Tsarukyan has been rejected.

It is worth noting that the court spent three days examining this request. The presiding judge in this case is Robert Papoyan.

Tsarukyan considers this entire process to be non-legal, claiming that it constitutes political persecution.

Recall that Gagik Tsarukyan was stripped of his parliamentary immunity on June 16.
