Over 39,000 Reports Filed for Violating Emergency Regime Rules: Police
The Armenian Police's external service units continue to operate under emergency conditions throughout the Republic. Concurrently, various administrative regions are conducting special measures to ensure effective monitoring of compliance with the requirements set by the Prime Minister's decisions.
To date, a total of 39,112 reports have been filed for violations of the legal regime of the state of emergency, and during operations conducted on June 19, 951 violations were identified. Corresponding reports were drafted for all infractions noted.
It is also important to note that since June 16, a decision by the Prime Minister of Armenia has come into force, requiring citizens to carry identification documents with them. According to this decision, an identification document includes a passport, identification card, or driver's license. If a citizen is found without identification, the police will file an administrative offense report against them.
Furthermore, if a person is not wearing a mask and does not have their identification document, the police will compile two administrative offense reports against that citizen.
Additionally, police units, in cooperation with oversight bodies, are effectively monitoring backyards, places of self-isolation and quarantine, funeral services, and establishments in the trade and public catering sectors through inspection visits.
