US Authorities Plan to Suspend Several Types of Visa Issuance
The administration of US President Donald Trump is set to announce the suspension of several types of visa issuance in the coming days, as reported by TASS, citing The New York Times.
According to sources from the publication, Trump is expected to sign the relevant executive order. Consequently, American companies will find it difficult to hire citizens from other countries, including programmers and other specialists, even if they have graduated from US universities.
This measure will likely impact seasonal workers as well. The report indicates that US authorities are likely to halt or restrict a number of programs that involve cultural exchanges between the US and other countries. The restrictions will also remain in effect in 2021.
According to CNBC, the draft version of the executive order is already prepared, and it is expected that the work will be completed this week.
