Yerevan Mall Continues Its Operations: Statement

On June 17, this year, a notification was released by the government indicating that "Yerevan Mall" found discrepancies with the regulations set by the authorities, and that "Yerevan Mall" would be closed for 24 hours.

In response to this information, which circulated in various media outlets, we would like to clarify: the government conducts regular inspections in different sections of "Yerevan Mall"—in the food court, service center, administrative and office areas, and whenever any non-compliance is detected, "Yerevan Mall" is mentioned as a single economic entity.

During the latest inspection carried out on June 17, violations were found in the office of "Yerevan Mall". Specifically, two employees were not wearing masks, their distance was less than one and a half meters, and temperature checks were recorded only once a day.

“Today, June 18, starting from 12:00, only the office part of the mall has been closed for 24 hours. All shops and the food court at "Yerevan Mall" continue their regular operations from 10:00 to 22:00,” clarified Shushan Avagimyann, marketing and public relations director of "Yerevan Mall".

It is important to emphasize that when disseminating information about economic operators, it is necessary to be guided by the clarity of information presentation. As a result of generalizations, citizens receive inaccurate information and economic operators suffer significant losses. We kindly ask to act with caution.

We remind that "Yerevan Mall" was the first in Armenia that, recognizing the importance of public health, temporarily suspended its operations starting March 15, alongside other economic operators from the "Galaxsy" group, incurring significant losses without waiting for government directives. After reopening, "Yerevan Mall" followed the health protection guidelines for citizens, taking special additional measures, including providing free masks to mall visitors, maintaining distance guidelines, and conducting temperature checks at the entrance.

Additionally, it should be noted that "Yerevan Mall" performs daily disinfection of the entire area, twice a day, providing masks and gloves to visitors.
