Enhanced Inspections in Hotels and Restaurants of the Capital and Kotayk Region
The police, in cooperation with the inspection bodies, continue to effectively monitor compliance with the rules of the state of emergency. In this context, various measures are being implemented. The latest inspections took place on June 13.
Employees of the Yerevan Police Department, Kotayk Regional Police Department, and their subordinate units, along with staff from the Food Safety Inspection Body, conducted enhanced inspections at several dozen restaurant and hotel complexes operating in the capital and Kotayk region.
To prevent the potential spread of the new coronavirus, mandatory rules set forth by the Prime Minister's decisions apply to these businesses as well. Specifically, strict hygiene standards must be maintained in hotel and restaurant complexes, disinfectants should be available, employees must carry out disinfection and documentation, and temperature checks for both customers and staff should be conducted. Social distancing among customers in service areas is required, with no more than five people allowed at a single table. In public catering organizations, performances of live or recorded music are prohibited, except for background music, as well as any other activities that imply close social contact, including dancing and other forms of entertainment.
During the enhanced inspections, police officers and inspectors from the Food Safety Inspection Body discovered 13 violations, and the corresponding reports were filed. The enhanced inspections will continue.
