Reasons are Different, I Won't Discuss Them: Russian Ambassador to Armenia on Armenia Rejecting Russian Loan

The loan amounts to $270 million, of which the majority, $200 million, has already been spent, leaving a question about the remaining funds. Unfortunately, the work was not completed by the deadline. The reasons are varied, and I will not discuss them. There has been a question about extending the loan repayment, and discussions are ongoing on this matter.

This was stated today during an online press conference by Sergey Kopyrkin, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Armenia, while addressing the fact that Armenia is considering rejecting part of the Russian loan.

He mentioned that as far as he knows, no agreement has yet been reached, but that does not mean the issue is closed.
