Abovyan Medical Center Equipped with State-of-the-Art Digital X-Ray Equipment
The Governor of Kotayk Province, Romanos Petrosyan, visited the R. Harutyunyan Medical Center in Abovyan on June 11, which has been equipped with state-of-the-art digital X-ray equipment. This was reported by the information and public relations department of the Kotayk Provincial Administration.
“The governor has repeatedly emphasized that one of the primary goals for him and health sector representatives is to equalize the quality of healthcare services between the capital and the regions. And we are pleased to announce that another significant step has been taken in this direction.
From now on, a state-of-the-art digital radiological device will be utilized in the diagnostic department of the Abovyan Medical Center. The equipment has been acquired through private funds and co-financing of a leasing program.
In the case of various healthcare issues, our citizens will have access to quality services and quick and accurate diagnosis. The operation of such equipment is particularly vital during these days of the coronavirus pandemic.
The governor, along with Deputy Governor A. Avetisyan and the acting head of the Health and Social Security Department of the Kotayk Provincial Administration A. Chilingaryan, met with the medical staff and also toured the departments of the medical center.
Various thoughts were exchanged with the doctors regarding this phase of the pandemic, and they tried to understand the existing problems and the ways to solve them. The governor conveyed the words of gratitude received from himself and hundreds of our citizens to the healthcare workers.
The fighting spirit and commitment of our healthcare workers are worthy of admiration. They toured various departments with the head of the medical center and became acquainted with the part of the building where the diagnostic department is planned to be centralized along with its auxiliary services across two floors.
They discussed preliminary options for renovation and room reconfiguration. The governor noted that after the final overcoming of the pandemic, they would talk about the lessons learned from the coronavirus, the shortcomings, and the mistakes made, while at this stage, the medical staff of the medical center, the regional center of the Emergency Situations Ministry, and the Health and Social Security Department of the provincial administration are diligently and as well as possible addressing the challenges before them.
