17514 First Graders Registered Through Online System, Ministry of Education Announces
This year, admission of first graders in public schools of Armenia, which are not the only ones in their respective communities, is being conducted through an online system. Between June 1-10, parents of children entering the first grade registered at hayt.emis.am, under the conditions that either one of the parents is a staff member at the school or the child has a sibling already enrolled in the school.
According to the information and public relations department of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, a total of 9,252 first graders were registered in the first phase. The registration process was smooth, with no technical issues reported.
Starting today, registration has opened for applicants who do not meet the above two criteria. Currently, an additional 8,262 first graders have been registered, bringing the total to 17,514. It is noteworthy that no software or technical issues were recorded during the registration process.
In 27 schools in Yerevan and the regions, spots were filled in less than a minute.
