The Father of Aram, Who Died in a Gold Mine, Also Died from Poisoning in the Mine
The father of 27-year-old Aram Gogoian, who died from carbon monoxide poisoning in an unused mine shaft owned by Meghradzor Gold LLC last night, also died as a result of poisoning in the mine. This information was shared with a NEWS.am correspondent by a local resident of Meghradzor.
“About 5 years ago, a similar incident occurred where a person died in the mine. Aram's father had entered to retrieve the bodies and got poisoned by carbon monoxide, which caused heart failure. He died after a long-term illness. Aram lived with his mother and two brothers; he was the eldest in the family. One brother is 25 years old, while the younger one is in the army and is expected to return home in a few days,” the deceased's fellow villager recounted.
It should be noted that an extraordinary incident occurred in the Kotayk region last night, June 10, around 12:40 AM, when the Hrazdan Medical Center reported to the Hrazdan police department that a group of citizens had been brought in with a diagnosis of acute exogenous poisoning due to gas from a mine.
