Surprise Inspections and Suspensions Across the Republic
The experts of the Ministry of Health and Labor Inspection of Armenia today continued enhanced supervisory efforts in the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district of Yerevan. The inspections targeted a range of economic operators, including branches of large supermarket chains, offices, service halls, pharmacies, beauty, and dental centers.
Inspectors are meticulously reviewing compliance with the norms established by the Prime Minister. Ongoing monitoring is conducted in a prescribed format, where point by point, it is recorded whether proper sanitization, temperature measurement, and documentation of results are being executed, whether covered trash cans and markings are present, whether social distancing is observed, and if samples are available, among other factors.
Active inspections are also continuing in the regions and other administrative districts of the capital. Meanwhile, suspensions are ongoing based on recorded violations from previous inspections, as stipulated by the decision of the Prime Minister of Armenia.
Today, among dozens of other economic operators, the activity of the “Tashir” shopping center in Yerevan has also been temporarily suspended. Earlier, the inspection team noted deficiencies in the main areas concerning the sanitization of surfaces, adherence to social distancing in the gold market area, marking, posting of informative posters, and other shortcomings. The operator has expressed readiness to rectify these issues.
Suspensions following inspections are continuing in the regions as well. The Ministry of Health and Labor Inspection of Armenia urges strict adherence to the rules set to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Administrative liability is established for non-compliance.
