Current Bed Fund Still Sufficient Considering New Developments: Arsen Torosyan
Health Minister Arsen Torosyan met with heads of medical organizations dealing with coronavirus disease. The officials presented current issues and discussed upcoming plans.
The minister drew the attention of attendees to the information accessibility of centers, particularly how many beds are free and occupied. According to shantnews, he stated, “It is clear that the incoming cases are very high, and free beds can be occupied very quickly, but it is also important to ensure information accessibility so that no one's treatment is delayed because of this.”
Leaders of healthcare facilities noted that the bed occupancy burden mainly falls on intensive care units. The minister emphasized that even if the recent rate of illness is maintained, the existing fund of hospital beds dealing with non-coronavirus diseases is still sufficient, taking into account the new developments. He also urged the heads of centers to remain consistent in their patients' treatment processes and pay special attention to discharges.
