Intensive Road Construction Works Underway in Various Regions of the Republic

The Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Kristine Galechyan, along with other officials responsible for road construction, has visited various regions of the republic to monitor ongoing road construction activities.

The Deputy Minister first examined the ongoing renovation of the Eghvard transport hub and the 12.7 km section of the Ashtarak-Eghvard road, which is funded by the state budget. She then proceeded to a 4 km long section of the M3 interstate highway undergoing renovation, passing through the town of Spitak, where the contracting organization presented the work being carried out.

Currently, works being conducted in that section include the installation of gravel foundation, asphalting, sidewalk construction, and other tasks.

During a meeting at the office of the company responsible for the technical supervision of the construction of the M6 interstate highway connecting Vanadzor to Alaverdi and the Georgian border, the progress of the renovation of the 51.74 km section at the Tumanyan-Bagratashen customs checkpoint was discussed. It is noteworthy that asphalting, road widening, retaining walls, bridge constructions, drainage works, and other activities are being executed in various parts of the M6 interstate highway.

Considering that the renovation of the M6 is taking place under conditions of intense traffic, the Deputy Minister emphasized the importance of proper organization of the work to ensure traffic safety.

During a meeting with representatives of the contracting companies, the need for maintaining high quality during road construction and completing the works within established deadlines was highlighted.
