Other Resignations Expected at the State Revenue Committee
David Ananyan’s resignation from the State Revenue Committee is reportedly not the only one. According to 168.am, "no announcements or official statements have yet been made regarding others’ resignations." Sources indicate that Deputy Chairman Rafik Mashadyan and Head of the Investigation and Operational Intelligence Department Vahan Charkhifalakyans have also submitted their resignation applications.
It is worth mentioning that David Ananyan announced his resignation via his Facebook page, stating that he wished to clarify that he had submitted a resignation request to the Prime Minister to dispel rumors circulating in the media.
Furthermore, the source reminds us that Rafik Mashadyan is a relative of Anna Hakobyan, the wife of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. "Rafik Mashadyan is the grandson of my step-aunt. The last time I saw him was in 2010 during a relative’s funeral. My husband, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, had never met Rafik Mashadyan before he became Prime Minister, and he had no idea that such a familial connection existed at the time of Mashadyan's appointment as Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee," Hakobyan responded to media inquiries on one occasion.
According to the same sources, Edgar Gevorgyan, Chief of Staff of the State Revenue Committee, as well as advisors and assistants of David Ananyan will also leave the committee.
