Jamanak: The Background of Arthur Aghajanyan's Dismissal Revealed
The newspaper 'Jamanak' reports that the controversy surrounding Arthur Aghajanyan's dismissal from the position of head of the National Security Service's investigative department is ongoing. 'Jamanak' has learned about the background of this dismissal.
It should be noted that Aghajanyan submitted his resignation on May 12, but officially this was made public only on May 19. Interestingly, he submitted his resignation after the appointment of Argishti Kyaramyan, the former acting head of the State Revenue Committee, as the director of the NSS.
According to information obtained from the NSS, Aghajanyan and Kyaramyan had a personal conflict while the latter was still working at the SRC, and essentially, Aghajanyan did not wish to work in that agency alongside Kyaramyan.
Additionally, during these days, it became clear that Gurgen Khachatryan, the son of former SRC president Gagik Khachatryan, who is accused of large-scale bribery, was hiding from law enforcement officers and has yet to be found. Aghajanyan's departure is also linked to the search for Khachatryan's son. In this context, they seem to be trying to hold Aghajanyan responsible for Khachatryan's absence.
