23 New Coronavirus Cases Registered in Syunik Region Over Last 3 Days: Hunan Poghosyan

In the Syunik region, 23 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in just the last 3 days. The Syunik regional administration has issued a statement urging vigilance.

“Dear residents of Syunik,

Once again, we appeal to you, confident that you understand the seriousness of the problem and will respond adequately to the created situation. Unfortunately, we must state that we do not see a commensurate response to the situation, and as a result of all our activities, we have the following situation on hand.

Currently, in the Syunik region, there are 103 confirmed cases, including:

• Recovered: 60 people
• Sick: 43 people, including:
• 3 in Kapan
• 1 in Goris
• 9 in Sisian
• 29 in Meghri
• 1 in Gorayk
• 14 patients are receiving treatment in Kapan Medical Center, 29 patients are asymptomatic.
• 338 people are in self-isolation.

Moreover, only in the last 3 days, we have had 23 new cases. Analysis shows that we would not have such an increase in cases if we strictly followed the established rules. Our studies, meetings in various settlements, and daily inspections confirm that we do not always adhere to the necessary rules.

Once again, we urge everyone to show reasonable concern and not to endanger our own health, that of our relatives, and loved ones.

We again ask, urge, and DEMAND that you do not participate in mass events, exclude mass gatherings, and in exceptional cases, such as attending a wake or funeral, strictly adhere to the rules set by the RA Commandant's order No. 110 of June 3, 2020, Annex No. 17, as well as the rules of wearing individual protective equipment and personal hygiene.
