The Situation in the Army is Under Control, Most Infected Are Contract and Officer Personnel, Deputy Minister Provides Details
The situation in the armed forces is under control. The situation arising from the coronavirus has not affected the combat readiness and fighting capability of the armed forces. This was stated today during a briefing with reporters in the National Assembly by Deputy Minister of Defense Gabriel Balayan.
He added that all activities under the preparation plan of the Armed Forces are being carried out without exception.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the relatives and parents of our conscript servicemen, as they are approaching the restrictions imposed regarding leaves and vacations with understanding. The majority of infected individuals in the army are from contract and officer personnel, meaning those who have access to military units. There have also been a few cases among conscripts, but they have been treated. The situation is under control, and there is no need for concern,” emphasized the Deputy Minister.
