Chief of General Staff Artak Davtyan in Artsakh: Mechanisms to Deter Azerbaijan Will Be Further Enhanced
Amid the recent bellicose statements of the Azerbaijani military-political leadership aimed at destabilizing regional security, the armed forces of the two Armenian states continue to actively implement all processes outlined in the cooperation plan, aimed at further enhancing the mechanisms to deter the adversary.
In this context, to familiarize himself with the ongoing and completed work, on June 3, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Lieutenant General Artak Davtyan, arrived on a working visit to the Artsakh Defense Army. Accompanied by the Minister of Defense of Artsakh and Commander of the Defense Army, Major General Jalal Harutyunyan, Davtyan observed the progress of engineering and fortification work being carried out in the southern direction, improvements in the living conditions of personnel, and specifics of using new firepower equipment provided to units on combat duty. He also visited one of the armored units during their field meetings.
During the working visit, the senior command of the two Armenian states also clarified the priority directions for further deepening cooperation.
