Auditor's Chamber 2019 Activity Report Submitted to National Assembly
The "Zhoghovurd" newspaper reports that the Republic of Armenia's Auditor's Chamber has submitted its activity report for 2019 to the National Assembly. The report consists of 82 pages and details the organization's activities and accomplishments for that year.
According to the report, out of the 32 audits planned for the year, 25 have been completed, one was suspended, and six are still ongoing. Furthermore, 20 of the audit results have been published, while 4 have been deemed classified and pertain to the Ministry of Defense.
Interestingly, the Auditor's Chamber also analyzed the performance of non-financial indicators of the state budget, noting that no financial indicators were established for 18.6 percent of policy measures. It emphasizes that despite the previous year's recommendation to improve the situation and set non-financial indicators, the situation has not improved. Instead, it has worsened by 1.2 percent.
Additionally, it points out that only one type of non-financial indicator was established for 64.8 percent of policy measures. However, overall, the Auditor's Chamber has issued a positive conclusion regarding the budget's performance.
