Stabbing Incident in Arabkir: One of the Five Injured is a Minor

An extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan on May 31, around 01:30, when the Arabkir police received a call from the Mikayelian Institute of Surgery reporting that a citizen with "left abdominal and right thigh stab wounds" had been admitted.

According to Shamshyan.com, the police determined that the injured individual is 42-year-old Alik A., a resident of Mamigonian Street in Yerevan, who, according to relatives, was injured in the Arabkir administrative district.

At around 01:45, the Kanaker-Zeitun Medical Center reported another case to the Arabkir police, stating that two unidentified individuals with "polytrauma" and "left lateral anterior abdominal stab wound" had been brought in for treatment. They informed the doctors that the injuries were also sustained in the Arabkir area.

While the police were working to identify the injured individuals, another call came in from the medical center stating that an individual had been admitted with a diagnosis of a "fractured left femoral neck".

The police determined that this victim is 64-year-old Robert S., also a resident of Mamigonian Street.

At approximately 02:25, the police were notified that a child had been admitted with a diagnosis of "soft tissue laceration". The investigation revealed that the injured party is 16-year-old E.A., who also reported having received injuries in the Arabkir area.

While medical personnel were providing first aid to the injured, the police learned that on the same day, around 01:15, a conflict occurred near building 29/2 on Mamigonian Street, where Alik and E.A., Robert S., and his son, 32-year-old Arsen S., exchanged blows. Preliminary information indicates that during this altercation, Arsen S. stabbed Alik A. in the abdomen and right thigh with a knife he had on him.

According to medical professionals, the injured parties were unable to provide an explanation about the incident. Thanks to the explanatory work carried out by the Arabkir police, Arsen S. presented himself to the police, from where he was taken to the Arabkir investigative department of the Yerevan Investigative Committee, where he was arrested as a suspect by investigator Ghazaryan.

The police also discovered that during the fight, the arrested individual and his nephews Aram and Ruben had struck Robert A. on different parts of his body. Based on the investigator’s decision, a forensic examination was assigned. The Arabkir police are taking necessary measures to identify and locate the other participants in the brawl.

According to sources, the Arabkir police have also recovered the knife used in the crime.
