South Korea Returns to Strict Quarantine Regime Amid Rise in COVID-19 Cases

In South Korea, state museums, galleries, and theaters are closing down again after having recently reopened due to the easing of quarantine restrictions. This was reported by Interfax.

These closures began in Seoul following the emergence of new coronavirus cases. The South Korean government has also tightened safety measures in educational institutions. Preschools and secondary schools are required to limit the number of students, which should not exceed one-third of the total student body.

For the second consecutive day, South Korea has reported more than 50 new cases of COVID-19, the majority of which are in the capital city.
