323 Confirmed Cases of Coronavirus in Gegharkunik Province

As of May 22, a total of 323 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Gegharkunik province, of which 130 have recovered and 5 have resulted in death. This was reported by the governor of Gegharkunik, Gnel Sanosyan.

“Thus, we have 14 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, 9 recoveries, and 1 new death. Regarding the death case, we report that the patient was a 61-year-old male who had underlying chronic diseases. On May 11, we had reported a death case where the patient had tested positive for the coronavirus, but the death was due to another illness. There is 1 case of that kind,” he noted.

Confirmed cases have been recorded in the regions of Vardenis, Mets Masrik, Shatvan, Sotk, Norakert, Tsovinar, Dzovazhart, Sevan, Ddmashen, Geghamavan, Zovaberi, Martuni (city), Khachaghbyur, Areguny, Lchashen, Tzakkar, Verin Getashen, Vraser, Arpunk, Tsovak, P’okr Masrik, Vardadzor, Zolakar, Geghamasar, Gandzak, Chkalovka, and Astghadzor communities.
