Fact: Reimbursed Amounts Being Withheld from Gazprom Armenia Employees
According to the 'Fact' newspaper, in light of the situation in Armenia and around the world, the government has implemented a series of measures under which certain amounts were reimbursed to the population for gas and electricity utility payments.
Sources from the 'Fact' newspaper indicate that the management of Gazprom Armenia has informed employees that the reimbursed amounts for gas utility payments in employees' households will be withheld, meaning these amounts will be deducted from their salaries.
During a conversation with the newspaper's reporter, some employees of Gazprom Armenia expressed that the decision was not unanimously accepted within the company.
To verify the information and obtain additional clarifications, we contacted the public relations and media department of Gazprom Armenia, where they confirmed our information, emphasizing the principle of volunteering.
'Considering that employees of Gazprom Armenia have fulfilled their duties during the state of emergency declared in Armenia and have received salaries, those employees who benefited from the reimbursements provided by the government for the gas consumed in February have voluntarily initiated to transfer those amounts as assistance to the gas consumers who are considered to be in a more vulnerable social situation,' the response stated.
