Stabbing Incident in Verin Artashat
On May 16, shortly after midnight, the Artashat police department received a report from a medical center that a 23-year-old man had been admitted with a stab wound to the chest.
An operational team was dispatched to the medical center, where law enforcement officials prepared the necessary reports. The victim was unable to provide a statement. However, his accompanying individuals informed the doctors that the injury was sustained from falling off a roof. Despite this claim, the nature of the injuries suggested otherwise, which raised skepticism among the police.
Criminal investigators took immediate measures to uncover the truth. As a result of swift and effective actions, the crime was solved within hours. Authorities learned that on May 15, around 11 PM, in the village of Verin Artashat, the victim had been stabbed during an altercation related to domestic issues by a 22-year-old resident of the same village.
Following explanatory work, around 5:30 PM on May 16, the suspect not only reported to the Artashat police station but also surrendered the knife used in the crime. The 22-year-old has been arrested, and the circumstances are under investigation. The investigation of the criminal case continues.
